• An Eco Hub is a facility that acts as a plastic waste collection point, a recycling facility and a manufacturing plant for green building materials.
• The Eco Hub Concept is a socially inclusive model that can be aligned and integrated into a Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Programs, e.g. social “franchising” scheme renewal every 5 yrs.

Roles

WASTE COLLECTION & LOCAL MARKETING LEAD
Provide land and space for the hub
Manage the daily operations of the Eco Hub.
Provide other incentives for consumers, materials for recycling, & publicity materials for advocacy
Handles the collection of plastic wastes and sachets for the facility.
To use revenue for other livelihood projects, infrastructure and scholarships.

Technology and Knowledge Transfer Lead
Own/Take charge of the overall management of the “Eco hub”.
Create incentive system (e.g. hand wash stations, eco-store)
Teach the community how to make eco-bricks and assist in marketing the products for other projects.
Part ownership of the joint venture (30%). To use revenue to expand to other communities and support growth.

Project Sponsor and Community Coordination Lead
Select pilot community.
Provide the necessary investment for the structure of the Eco Hub.
Provide investment to purchase equipment.
Identify projects where eco bricks, eco pavers and eco casts can be used and assist in marketing/creating demand (ex. Hand wash stations, classrooms, etc.).
Select the next community to replicate the success of pilot community. May use the 35% share of the Eco Hub net income to set up the next hub.
